Berlin

I visited Berlin in the summer of 2015 and loved it, but sadly the piece I wrote about the trip seems to have vanished. In the absence of that, here’s a gallery one one of the most fascinating layered cities that in the last century alone was built up and then destroyed, quartered, occupied, divided, reunited and modernised into what you see today. There are pieces of Cold War heritage to be found, a shameful history that I doesn’t shy away from confronting, and a revitalised Reichstag Building complete with dome by Normal Foster. And there’s so much more besides. I must try and re-write that piece…
