Teesside & North Yorkshire
I’ve enjoyed numerous trips to this area in recent years, and for the purposes of this gallery we’re talking about the area from the Tees to the Humber estuaries.
One of my favourite places to visit is Whitby, though on a summer’s day it can be a tourist hotspot akin to Blackpool but with nicer buildings. These days I won’t venture in to the town before evening, but half an hour north is a much more serene alternative in the shape of Staithes. I’ve featured that here, as well as Saltwick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay to the south. Keep on heading south and you’ll eventually get to what feels like the far end of the earth at Spurn Point – technically in the former East Riding of Yorkshire but it’s included here anyway. And at the north is Teesside. They know how to do bridges in Teesside…
Once again, you can find out more in my blog.
